Read the sonar before you tie onArches mid-water mean pelagics: speed jigs or casting metals. Marks hard on the bottom mean reef fish: slow-pitch or a bottom jig. Match jig weight to the depth on screen, and go heavier when the drift is fast. Braid guide: PE 1 is about 0.17 mm and 18 to 20 lb, PE 2 about 30 lb, PE 3 about 40 to 45 lb, PE 4 about 50 to 60 lb, PE 6 about 80 lb; brands vary.
